The Ceramic Hobs' first album proper was released in late 1998 after recording sessions spanning the previous three years. It was co-released by four labels: Landlord, Mental Guru, Pumf and Smith Research, in two slightly different sleeves - all artwork variations are scanned above. It was a run of 500 CDs and is now out of print.

The accompanying releases of the era which are to be considered part of the Psychiatric Underground continuum are still available from Pumf Records - all tracks on the 'Ultramont!' CD-R, and tracks 6-11 from '20 Golden Deathtrips'. Pumf also offer a CD-R of this album in minimal packaging for those who require a hard copy. http://www.pumf.net

Smith Research is proud to give away this landmark release in unprotected 256 kbps mp3 format. "After some deliberation I have decided not to publically post details of the provenance of the samples, lyrics, artwork and juxtapositions on the album, but I would be happy to respond to any queries from individuals directly" - Simon Harris.
